I believe attention to our mental wellbeing is a crucial component of overall wellness. I focus on assisting my clients in achieving optimal health. To do this I put great value on establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with my clients. I believe I owe my clients respect, empathy, honesty, and a safe place to be heard. I believe we are continuously evolving and learning more about ourselves. This ride can be challenging, and I am honored each time I am able to join someone on their journey.
I strive to be multiculturally competent. I enjoy connecting with people and learning about their unique experiences. I have worked in inpatient settings along with a community counseling clinic. Goals for myself include ongoing education and staying current with the latest evidenced based therapies. My approach is Integrative, adapted to suit the needs of the individual. I have extensive experience with Client-Centered, Solution-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioral theories. I have a passion for working with mood disorders, severe and persistent mental illness, trauma, and substance use disorders.
I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
