If you need someone safe and competent to help you process your current problems and heal from your past wounds, I will strive to earn your trust through our professional counseling relationship and will provide you with tools and skills to empower you for a better future.
I have been trained to serve individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, abuse, relationship issues, emotional difficulties and various other mental health issues. I will assess your current needs and collaborate with you to make a plan using strategies that will best accomplish your goals. Depending on your unique situation, we may incorporate evidence-based interventions such as emotion regulation skills, mindfulness, distress tolerance, trauma-informed CBT, thought-replacing strategies, conflict resolution skills, attachment and family dynamic education, safe space exercises and solution-focused goal-setting.
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP-accredited program at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) in the state of Nebraska and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have gained professional experience working with individuals and groups across all ages of the lifespan. I also bring a wealth of life experience into the counseling room having previously lived internationally for 14 years, having earned my first master’s degree in education, having enjoyed teaching as my first career, and being a mother of four children. To implement my own self-care plan, I enjoy hiking, biking, running, traveling, songwriting, and nature photography.
I accept Medicaid, BCBS, and self-pay clients.
