Today, there are many different ideas of what therapy/counseling is and what it looks like. Clients may come in with their own assumptions, but I’m a firm believer that therapy can be whatever YOU want it to be. Whether you’re seeking it out after a major life event, to help you cope through stressful situations, or any other reason, my goal is to tailor your experience to your wants, needs and aspirations.
I implement counseling strategies from theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. However, I realize that each client is unique and I strive to continue to build my own skill set in order to accommodate clients to the best of my ability. The counseling process is meant to be a collaborative effort between clients and clinicians and your input is always encouraged!
Aside from my love of the counseling field, I’m a huge animal lover with a house full of dogs, cats, and a few fish. I love being outdoors and in nature, crafting, reading, and all things organization. I have an education-based background in Spanish language and culture and am always interested in expanding my understanding of other people and cultures.
I accept private pay clients, BCBS, Nebraska Medicaid, and Aetna
